Amar Rathor is a highly accomplished innovator with over two decades of global experience in banking and financial services. Amar currently advises some of the most transformative software startups on their go-to-market and financial strategy. Recently, he served as a Director with the Technology Investment Banking Group at Scotiabank, where he advised clients on capital markets, M&A, and strategic business development. His focus was Fintech and enterprise software.
Before Scotiabank, Amar worked as the Executive Director at Standard Chartered Ventures, where he built and led US Software and fintech partnerships, corporate ventures and advised startups on bank partnerships, fundraising and capital markets. He established the Silicon Valley office that drove adoption of multiple new emerging tech solutions leveraging AI/ML, Blockchain, Biometrics, Virtual
Reality and APIs. Amar also led Fintech coverage for the US, building strategic relationships with Fintech upstarts and leaders. Amar has held leadership roles at Credit Suisse, Accenture, and GE, working across Middle East, US, and Asia. He holds an MBA from Chicago Booth, MSc in Economics from Cardiff University, and a Six- Sigma Black Belt.
