As the global video games industry sets off to generate $300 billion in revenue by 2025, twofour54, Abu Dhabi Gaming (AD Gaming) and US video game software development company Unity Technologies, which powers many of the world's biggest video games, are leading the acceleration of the sector in Abu Dhabi, creating a launchpad for gaming and esports businesses to grow and access the wider MENA region.
Now, the Abu Dhabi Investment Office is extending an invitation to gamers, developers and investors to be a part of the emirate's growing gaming ecosystem, which falls under the scope of AD Gaming's overall efforts.
AD Gaming is a collaborative new initiative pioneered by twofour54 Abu Dhabi, launched during March of last year to aggregate the emirate’s drive to build a thriving gaming and esports ecosystem.
Supported by Unity Technologies, Flash Entertainment, UAE Pro League, Emirates Esports Association, Media Zone Authority, and Mubadala, the initiative will provide a comprehensive support system for game developers, players, consumers, and businesses in Abu Dhabi.
At the heart of AD Gaming is Yas Creative Hub, the region's first purpose-built development for media, entertainment, and gaming, designed with the sector's unique needs in mind, where Unity Technologies will also build a Centre of Excellence and a Gaming Hub to further boost the local and regional industry.
