Dubai Chamber Hosts First 2024 Business Groups Meeting 

Dubai Chamber, part of Dubai Chambers, recently hosted its initial quarterly roundtable for Business Groups and Business Councils in 2024.

Attendees gained insights into the chamber's array of programs and initiatives designed to support business interests, emphasizing collaboration between public and private sectors to boost local competitiveness and sustainable growth. Updates on the chamber's 2023 achievements were also presented, highlighting record-breaking new member enrollments, increased activity, and enhanced export values.

In 2023, a notable 76 new Business Groups emerged, covering diverse sectors, adding to the existing 105 under the chamber. Additionally, 47 country-specific Business Councils advocate for international businesses and investors, with 145 meetings held and 111 laws reviewed in collaboration, yielding a 53 percent adoption rate for resulting recommendations.

The gathering concluded with an interactive discussion on business needs, addressing challenges, and capitalizing on emerging opportunities, underscoring the indispensable role of Business Groups and Councils in Dubai's economic landscape.

Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, highlighted the crucial function of Business Groups and Councils in advocacy, networking, and facilitating public-private cooperation. He stressed their role in enhancing Dubai's global business standing through shared initiatives and dialogue, fostering a dynamic investment environment across sectors.
