Under the Abu Dhabi Inspires programme, the Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development has partnered with Noon to launch the E-Empower programme – an initiative that aims to support and develop Abu Dhabi-based small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and entrepreneurs by providing interactive eLearning content that will help small businesses thrive in the digital economy. The new programme will also offer tools and insights to SMEs on how they can expand their businesses to reach millions of customers via Noon.com.
Abu Dhabi based companies will be able to sign up on the noon.com site. To be eligible, companies should be based in Abu Dhabi and operating in manufacturing, wholesaling or retail. Companies will be filtered and verified by noon and Khalifa Fund.
Benefits include the following:
- Specialized capacity building program: Online course will be developed for e-empower companies on noon.
- Dedicated support team for e-empower companies: Separate seller support team will be set up to guide companies through selling online, onboarding, content creation, and the overall selling experience.
- Visibility and marketing: Separate section of the noon website will be set up to give special visibility to e-empower companies. Deep marketing campaign will be co-created between noon and Khalifa Fund to propel sales.
- Preferential rates:
- Standard noon.com platform
- Companies eligible will be able to get a preferential rate for a period of time for sales on noon
- 2 months commission free period
- 1% credit back on their sales for 3 months, which can be offset against commissions
- noon.com – Mahali platform: Qualifying e-empower companies will be able to be part of noon’s Mahali program, which is focused on local micro-entrepreneurs. Mahali companies will be hand-held throughout their e-commerce journey until they become established sellers in the local market.
- Participating companies will get a rate-holiday and then preferential rates for an extended period of time with additional visibility on-site.
- 3 months commission free period
- 2% credit back on their sales for the long-term, until their participation on Mahali program ends
- noon.com – Daily platform: Noon Daily, noon’s dedicated grocery platform, will partner with the Khalifa Fund to empower local farms and help sell their produce online. A special area of the site will be created to drive traffic towards the local farm market on noon Daily. Similar to the other initiatives, noon will support these companies deeply throughout their selling journey on noon and help them to drive sales online.
